I’m a 20 year old male suffering from candida. The medication I’ve been prescribed doesn’t seem to make any good (Fluconazole). I do still have white coated tongue .. it’s even worse because i started to develop spots in my mouth that are slightly raised. I’m tired all the time, i can’t concentrate on anything.. I’m so down and messed up because there’s nothing i can do about it… it’s horrible
Wondering if anyone else out there has the same problem as me?
i don’t have that problem. but i do know that getting rid of any fungus infection takes a looong time because their metabolism is a lot more similar to ours than bacteria so anything that kills them can also kill us at a high enough concentration. either you were treated by high concentrations of antibacterial medicine that killed off the normal bacteria in your mouth so the fungus took over, or your immune system is loused up and unable to fight off the fungus, or both. and maybe you are diabetic and its living off your high blood sugar. you will have to keep taking the fluconazole until it gets rid of the fungus. i wonder if your doctor could increase the dose any so it works faster. or add something else to help kill it off. it will take a while but you should be able to kill it off and be okay again. i wish i was there. i don’t know what i could do, but i’d try something to at least get your mind off it for a while…. by the way, i hate the other answers. they sound like rubber stamp answers used for everything on here. limiting sugars and carbs might help a little just because it won’t be in your mouth feeding the fungus. unless you kept your mouth full of vinegar all the time (destroying your teeth too) i don’t think vinegar would have any effect, though it wouldn’t hurt either i suppose. candida isn’t a food allergy, its a fungus infection! [*grumbles about silly answers some people give*]
is there a cure for candida?

My buddy had the same problem, it’s easy to fix. Gunshot to the mouth is the best solution!

Candida is a form of yeast infection.
Antibiotics usually clear it up, if it doesnt you should get rechecked, as some people have immune system problems .
Make sure your partner gets checked as well, women can get yeast infections down there or in their mouths if you kiss them in those areas.

Get checked for allergies. It could be a food allergy. The usually culprits are dairy and starchy foods.
In the mean time, try raw organic apple cider vinegar. Some people says it’s the cure…but if not, it should help it. Google it. :=)
Good luck!

Have you tried altering your diet? Avoiding sugar, white flour and refined carbs like pasta will eliminate what the candida like to thrive on and will eventually die off. Consult your Dr if it doesnt improve.
