Probiotics are the biggest thing to help fight Candida and yeast growth. Yogurt and Kefir have Probiotics in them, but no where near enough to make a fast impact on Candida that a good Probiotic supplement (one with 30+ billion viable organisms from several strains) can.
In addition to Probiotics, Caprylic Acid and Grapefruit Seed Extract also help to fight the Candida directly, so those three together are a very good combination to fight Candida.
I have heard of Boric Acid being used for certain issues (occasionally yeast infections), but I haven’t heard of it being used very successfully for systemic Candida. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=boric+acid+candida&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701 has some hits that suggest it, but it’s basically something to kill of the Candida so it could be used (in the proper doses) in conjunction with what I mentioned above.
Also, there are foods that help fight Candida, but it’s more of which foods to avoid than which foods to eat more of. Avoid sugary foods (since sugar feeds Candida) and if you want to cover all your bases, even natural sugars would be best to avoid (eg. fruits, fructose, ribose, etc) because yeast can feed on most any sugars. Also, minimize the refined carbs you eat for the same reason… carbs convert into sugar in your system, which feeds yeast. It seems too obvious to say avoid products with yeast (breads and whatnot), but still.
Those options will help a LOT to starve them while you attack with the supplements. Eating lots of fiber (veggies, especially) will help with elimination, which can help remove some of the yeast as well. There are a lot of angles that fighting Candida comes from, not just one or two.
Most of the cases I’ve heard of that used regimens like this showed an impact within just a few days (where they noticed some benefits) and were often almost completely gone within a month or so, but some more extreme cases took longer. Good luck and I hope I helped!

I have successfully used OregaMax. You take 2 pills three times a day and gradually decrease the dose. I have also used Oil of Oregano on skin rashes, poison ivy, ear infections……
Google both and see what all you can use them for. This is not the kind of oregano you pick up in the spice aisle. You have to get it in a health food store or online.’
Good luck!

Wow the answers above mine make me laugh so hard. Firstly, you should specify WHERE your infection is. If it is cutaneous then go to the store, buy some athletes foot cream or general antifungal cream and put it where you have the infection. If it is a vaginal yeast infection, buy some cream for yeast infections or go to an actual doctor. Make sure the creams you buy have "azole" at the end of the active ingredient. That means they have an antibiotic designed for fungii in them. Or, you can try alternative medicine until it gets really bad, but then you will most likely have to see a doctor. good luck
