I have a long term condition to primarily due to the fact that I was put on antibiotics for four years for acne. I know quite a lot about Candida as my girlfriend is a Doctor who specialises in bio-chemistry and nutrition. However we do not know the answer to this.

white tongue dry mouth????

Candida is a prime candidate when you have a white tongue. If you also have bad breath it might be gluten intolerance though (meaning you should cut out wheat and other gluten grains)

Here is what I have on Candida:

Candida is a genus of yeasts. Many species of this genus are endosymbionts of animal hosts including humans. While usually living as commensals, some Candida species have the potential to cause disease. Clinically, the most significant member of the genus is Candida albicans, which can cause infections (called candidiasis or thrush) in humans and other animals, especially in immunocompromised patients. Many Candida species are members of gut flora in animals, including C. albicans in mammalian hosts, whereas others live as endosymbionts in insect hosts. If you want to get rid of candida and get it off the intestinal walls, it often is really quite simple:

I am too lazy to change my diet, so I’d like to know if there are any specific antifungals/probiotic supplements that work pretty well to destroy an intestinal yeast infection…?

If you managed to cure a Candida/yeast infection, what products or drugs did you take? How well did they work?

I REALLY need help on this as I am faced with a serious health problem that may or may not be Candida overgrowth, but without medical insurance, I can’t get extensive testing done to figure out what condition I really have. However from my own research, it seems likely that Candida is a major component of my longterm illness, if not the whole thing.

all i’ve heard about is the diet, which is practically impossible, and i was hoping there was something else out there that works. what has the highest success rate? help!

Since intestinal candida is a weed, you have to choke out the weed by refusing to feed it (which means cutting out sugar and yeast). But, I’ve done some other things that help that process along rather quickly:

1. Candex – supplement that contains digestive enzymes that digest the candida and take it out of the body without any die-off reactions – you have to take it on an empty stomach (at night and first thing in the am) because if there is food in the system, it will digest the food instead of the candida. Die off reactions can be brutal so Candex is a life saver!
